Glaucoma Observership Programme

Objective:
Programme is designed to provide exposure to all aspects of glaucoma diagnosis and management with special emphasis on learning diagnostic techniques and their clinical correlation.

Duration:
3 months

Eligibility:
Ophthalmologist (M.S, DNB, DOMS)

Programme Structure:
To learn OPD diagnostic skills like tonometry, gonioscopy, disc evaluation and investigations like perimetry and OCT.
To understand the approach to glaucoma diagnosis and learn the art of medical management.
To understand and observe the indications and procedure of lasers and surgery in glaucoma patients.

Hands on surgeries:
Nil.

Only Laser procedures will be given.

  • 2 days video assisted lectures in structured manner by senior expert Phaco surgeons
  • Live demonstration of basic Phaco technique on different grade of nucleus by an expert Phaco surgeon.
